Organic Medjool Dates
Organic medjool dates are moist, succulent and sweet. Known as the "king of dates" these are hard to resist! These organic, premium medjool dates are large in size and moist and creamy. Medjool dates are great for eating on their own, cooking and blending for desserts. They are also highly nutritious with innumerable health benefits. Rich in vitamins, minerals and fibres, it is said that eating one date a day is necessary for a balanced and healthy diet. Dates are beneficial for both adults and children, especially during a time of recovery from illness amd injury. They are brimming with much needed minerals and energy to help you stay healthy. As your body absorbs the high nutrient value of dates, they pacify feelings of hunger, maintain good eye sight, regulate the digestive process and are a great food to eat when breaking your fast as the nutritional value eases the stomach lining readying it for more foods to be eaten. It is also believed that women who eat 6 dates a day for the last four weeks of pregnancy enjoy numerous benefits, including a shorter first phase of labour. The benefits are endless!
Medjool dates are very popular as a snack on their own, stuffed with cheese or used in muesli mixes and baking. They are delicious in cakes, biscuits, puddings and a variety of savoury dishes or curries. Blend for a delightful caramel. Don't forget to remove the pits!
Storage: Organic medjool dates are a preservative-free, raw product, high in sugar and moisture. In winter sometimes the dates can start to crystallise and may have a white sugary appearance—but they are fine to eat! In summer, higher temperatures can cause the moisture and the sugar in the fruit to react (starting the fermentation process). So overall to get the best from your dates, we highly recommend refrigeration throughout the year.
Organic farming uses no pesticides or artificial fertilisers and works with nature to build the fertility and health of our soil while caring for our environment. Organic farming has a low carbon footprint. Pure and simple, just the way nature intended.
*CAUTION - Very rarely a Date will have some black mould inside it from the dehydration/freezing/thawing process of fruit.
If you are hyper sensitive to mould, please consider the risk of purchasing this product.
This product is naturally gluten, nut and soy free. Please bear in mind that we do pack a wide range of natural food products on shared equipment including nuts, seeds, grains and cereals. This includes sesame, peanuts, soy and gluten. While we do our best to avoid any kind of cross contamination, this can occasionally occur and any of our products may contain traces of these, unless we have specified the product is otherwise certified.
TWC source this product as Certified Organic (spec sheets available on request). We then pack it down in a yet-to-be-certified organic facility. This means it can't be sold as Certified Organic (just 'Organic'). We're in the process of gaining our very own organic certification and expect this will be complete by early 2020. It's then that these very same high quality organic products will regain their 'certified' status on the TWC website. Some old labels may say Certified Organic on them. The product is no different whatsoever and the pack down area uses all organic cleaning agents. Clear as mud? ;)

Storage & Eating Protocol
1. Store your Medjool Dates in a sealed container in the fridge.
2. Never just bite into a Medjool Date. The seed is very hard, and there's the very rare occasion of some mould inside.
3. Always remove the seed first, as this will save your teeth, and potentially identify a mouldy Date.
4. If a mouldy date is found, dispose of immediately.
