    Organic Merchant's certified organic Soothe Dust is a turmeric cacao blend naturopathically formulated to calm inflammation and soothe digestion. This anti-inflammatory tonic is gluten, dairy and sugar free, as well as vegan friendly.

    Organic Merchant’s Soothe Dust was created as a healing and anti-inflammatory tonic. This turmeric cacao blend is naturally high in anti-inflammatory properties to protect against disease and promote longevity.

    How to use
    The Soothe Dust can be made into or added to beverages, baking and raw treats.

    For making a turmeric cacao drink, grab your Soothe Dust and favourite milk.

    We recommend 1-2 tsp per 200ml.
    Add 20ml (1 sip) of hot milk/water, then whisk/stir to make a paste.
    Fill up with your choice of hot milk.

    We enjoy our turmeric hot chocolate blend on its own, but you can add honey or a hint of vanilla to your liking. In case you prefer a more lavish chocolate flavour, simply add an extra spoon of the turmeric cacao blend.

    For best storage conditions, keep the properly closed Soothe Dust in a dry, cool location. This dust is sustainably produced & packaged.

  • Detailed Description of Each Ingredient

    Raw Cacao
    This highly regarded and diverse superfood has been cultivated since the times of the ancient Mayans, and contains a unique blend of phytonutrients and antioxidants offering an array of nutritional benefits to support overall health and wellbeing.

    Our raw Peruvian Cacao is made by cold pressing un-roasted cacao beans. This gentle method maintains the integrity of the plants molecular structure resulting in a higher antioxidant content and greater overall nutritional value of minerals such as magnesium, calcium, copper, zinc as well as other trace minerals.

    Raw cacao empowers concentration, vitalises energy, uplifts mood and much more. It is known to protect cells from oxidation and inflammation, improve mental ability, support immune health, reduce chronic fatigue and may protect against cancer and heart disease. Raw cacao also contains powerful flavonoids and precursors to serotonin and dopamine, which have shown to alleviate depression, avert anxiety, minimise stress and stabilise mood.

    Turmeric
    A tall perennial herb native to south-east Asia. It is one of the most widely studied spices, showing potent anti-inflammatory, antioxidant, anti platelet and
    hepatoprotective actions. Besides boasting cardiovascular health by supporting arterial circulation, turmeric may help prevent damage to the liver and improve
    liver insufficiency. Some studies suggest it to be equally as effective at treating depression as antidepressants. Traditionally it is also often used as a beautifying
    spice, as it can help relieve a range of skin conditions from psoriasis to acne, giving you a healthy glow from within.

    Ginger
    Has a long and widespread history of health-related benefits, since Ancient Sanskrit, Chinese, Greek, Roman, and Arabic times. It has an impressive array of beneficial actions associated with its antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, anti-fungal, anti-bacterial properties and other unique therapeutic compounds. Its health benefits include the treatment of nausea from motion sickness, post-surgery, chemotherapy and pregnancy. It fights fungal infections, protects against stomach ulcers, eases menstrual pains, may inhibit cancer growth, regulates blood sugar, relieves joint and muscle pain, lowers cholesterol levels, improves brain function, minimises neurodegenerative conditions like Alzheimer’s disease and Parkinson’s, blocks bacterial infections including urinary tract infections, pneumonia and bronchitis, eases inflammation, and promotes proper digestion. To the present day, ginger remains one of the most used dietary condiments in the world.

    Liquorice
    Has a long history of use from ancient Greece and Rome, to Asia and beyond. Researchers have isolated over 134 different compounds imparting potent antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, antibiotic, phyto-estrogenic and immune-stimulating benefits. It’s anti-inflammatory and demulcent actions make it effective
    against heartburn, acid reflux, nausea, indigestion, gastro-intestinal ulcers, leaky gut and IBS. Its antibiotic and antiviral properties potentiate the immune system
    against infections, whereas the effective expectorant and anti-inflammatory properties can bring fast acting relief to sore throats, coughs, colds and influenza.

    Liquorice is also one of main adaptogen herbs to help improve stress response as it can effectively regulate cortisol, thereby supporting both the adrenals and
    immune system. Lastly, it also appears to have an estrogen-like effect in women, lending itself to the treatment of conditions such as PMS and menopausal hot
    flashes. To this day, it remain as one of the most used herbs in Traditional Chinese medicine, and its synergistic nature means it is often used in conjunction with
    other herbs to boost their effects.

    Cinnamon
    A potent spice that has been used medicinally around the world dating back as far as 4,000 years ago to Ancient Egypt. Its powerful healthpromoting compounds give it antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, anti-microbial, anti-biotic, anti-fungal and anti-viral properties. These properties have a positive effect on blood sugar levels, digestion and immunity, and are also extremely beneficial in treating or preventing candida infections, heart disease, diabetes, cancer and neurodegenerative diseases.     Mesquite
    Native to South America and the Southwestern United States, mesquite is a low GI sweetener that is high in protein. Mesquite has a high fibre content, low glycemic index, high mineral content, anti-fungal properties and immune-boosting abilities. Its abundance in soluble fibre helps a smooth digestion and healthy gut flora. The low glycemic index means that it does not need insulin to be broken down and won’t cause blood sugar spikes. Furthermore, mesquite is a source of omega-3s, which makes it good for controlling inflammation.

    Black Pepper This king of spices is native to southern India. Since ancient times black pepper is one of the most widely-traded spices in the world. In addition to being an exceptional culinary spice, it is known to offer a number of health benefits; of note it has exceptional carminative effects on the gastrointestinal tract, minimising gas, coordinating and regulating gut motility, thus improving and soothing digestion. Pepper boasts antioxidant, antibacterial, anti-inflammatory and
    expectorant properties. It also works synergistically with other herbs to enhance bioavailability, absorption and transportation thus maximising their efficiency,
    which is particularly true with turmeric.

    Black pepper is a rich source of minerals like manganese, copper, magnesium, calcium, phosphorus, iron, potassium, a range of vitamins and a unique chemical called ‘piperine’. It relieves coughs and colds, boosts metabolism, treats sinus, asthma, nasal congestion, reduces the risk of cancer, and heart and liver ailments. Furthermore pepper may improve memory and cognitive function, and promote anti-aging and life extension.

    Organic Merchant don’t have any gluten containing products on the premises at all, so there is virtually no risk of cross-contamination on site. Although coeliacs should be aware that Organic Merchant are not gluten free certified.

    Just like the rest of us, Organic Merchants Tea know that tea makes everything better! Founded by the beautiful Chalimah Jeanne, the business was a natural extension of her naturopathic work, where she’d blend teas for clinic patients who were particularly low in vital energy.

    Realising that everyone kept coming back for more, she launched her business at the local market with 12 herbal loose-leaf teas, and six years later, OM Tea now stock an extensive premium range of 35 different herbal teas, all naturopathically formulated and 100% Australian Certified Organic.

    About the tea

    Since starting, OM Tea has grown to include several ranges of tea including the more traditional teas, fruit based teas, pregnancy and breastfeeding tea, iced teas and the more recently launched mantra range of teas.

    With 35 different teas to choose from, it’s safe to say there’s something for everyone. All the teas are made from the highest quality, organic, loose leaf herbal infusion. The loose leaf tea is hand-blended and minimally processed (the way we like it!) which of course means that the nutrients are at their highest potential.

    Chalimah is a self-confessed hippy at heart, so two years ago she went about overhauling all her packaging to be as earth-friendly as possible.

    The entire range is presented in reusable glass jars and biodegradable sachet boxes made from 100% Australian recycled paper with a compostable plant-based cello-bag. It’s all either 100% biodegradable, compostable or recyclable. It looks beautiful and keeps the earth beautiful too!
