Organic Tiger Nuts
Ceres Organics like to keep things clean and simple. So these tiger nuts are just that!
Contrary to the name, tiger nuts are not actually a nut, but rather a small root vegetable, used by plants to provide energy and nutrients. Our African Paleo ancestors relied heavily on this super-root for nourishment. Packed with plant-based goodness, this unique snack contains 33% dietary fibre, but what’s really stand-out is its resistant starch content—a dietary fibre recognised as an important prebiotic.
With their unique sweet-nutty flavour and chewy texture, tiger nuts are super versatile. Use in everything from salads to breakfast foods, or simply munch straight from the pack.
Ceres consider both the bulk ingredient allergen declaration and the potential risk of allergen contamination introduced at the packing/manufacturing facility when labelling their products. If the product carries no warning, this means that there is no advised gluten risk for the ingredients and no gluten contamination risk is present during manufacture or re-packing.
However, Ceres do not test for gluten allergens unless a gluten free certified or blue cross grain claim is made on the packaging. If you're coeliac and need 100% assurance, check out the Ceres products in our Gluten Free Certified value.
